Health Benefits:
Fava™ dips are all natural, vegan-friendly and gluten-free. They contain no trans-fats or cholesterol; rich in protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals, and L-Dopa, a precursor to Dopamine (Neuro Transmitter in the brain) which may contribute to enhancing functions such as memory, stamina, and good mood.
The higher the level of dopamine, or the more responsive the brain is to dopamine, the more likely a person is to be sensitive to incentives and rewards. "When our dopamine system is activated, we are more positive, excited and eager to go after goals or rewards" Dupue¹ said.

G6PD Deficiency and Favism:
G6PD Deficiency is an inherited disorder (i.e. cannot be contracted in any other way) which can cause hemolytic anemia when people with the disorder come into contact with drugs, food and other substances which cause oxidative stress. The name favism is sometimes used to refer to the enzyme deficiency as a whole, although this is misleading as not all people with G6PD deficiency will manifest a physically observable reaction to consumption of fava beans. Favism is associated with some severe variants of G6PD Deficiency. Avoiding the consumption of fava beans is recommended for people with the above mentioned disorder.
